Kodi is my media workhorse on the Shield. I used SPMC for a long time (back when passthrough in Kodi just wouldn't work at all for me), so I was very happy when I discovered everything in Kodi was as good or better than SPMC after development/support ended for the latter.

Im ripping a uhd movie 1:1 but I’m not sure if makemkv is actually taking out the dolby vision metadata and I’m not sure how to see if the mkv container contains it or not.
